It supports your metabolism (food and fat burning).
It stabilises your blood sugar (your sugar/carb sink).
It builds and protects your bones.
It helps slow ageing and improve independence.
But here’s the key…This is NOT just about doing a workout.
It’s about using your body weight and workout the right way.
NOT just lifting or pushing heavy.
It’s about lifting and pushing well.
YOUR KWS STRENGTH CIRCUIT and CLASSES
This is your MUSCLE STRENGTH & POWER BUILDING foundation zone.
The CIRCUIT and CLASSES are designed to give you a complete full body strength workout when done properly.
- Your ON STATION - 12 Resistance Machines
- Your OFF STATION - back wall exercises or instructor driven - (extra strength, balance, posture, coordination, and core focused exercises). Designed to take your mind and body around the world and back and work them on as many challenging positions and angles as possible.
PLEASE don't get stuck in your comfort zone - mix it up to challenge your brain and body.
Timed On & OFF Station rounds: these change regularly - 35 seconds or 1 minute
Simple A+ ACTION Strength Structure:
Do at least 2 rounds at 35 seconds (on + off stations) more if you have time.
Do a least 1 round at 60 seconds (on + off station - your full body strength push) more if you have time.
That’s where the MAGIC HAPPENS if done correctly.
HOW TO GET RESULTS (THIS MATTERS) when in a 30-minute CLASS or doing your OWN CIRCUIT
ON STATIONS (Machines): This is ALWAYS YOU verses the Machine.
• Push and pull with intent
• Use control - no rushing
• If it feels easy adjust your effort, so your last reps feel challenging
• Full range with strong posture
This is your powerful MUSCLE building time.
OFF STATIONS (Where strength and change accelerates):
You are guided by different back wall exercise options or the instructor - use them well. Or do a variety of your favourite challenging strengthening moves - NOT JUST COMFORT ZONE STUFF!!!!
• Choose weights that challenge you (NOT Comfort Zone)
• Focus on balance, control, and posture
• Move with purpose, not just movement
This is where coordination, core strength, and real-life strength improves.
ADD-ON ACTION - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED after every workout
Use the STRETCH AREA - it is respect for your hard-working muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints.
(IF YOU HAVE TIME - NOT YOUR MAIN WORK):
• Treadmill / rower / bike
• Core machines and chair core and plank area
• FREE WEIGHTS or Mat work - using exercise cards
• BOSU / balance work
These all SUPPORT your progress…
REMEMBER the CIRCUIT or CLASSES are your PRIORITY
Your COACHING FOCUS:
• Control, form and weight selection over speed
• Quality over quantity reps
• Breathe properly and consistently
• Feel the muscles working and know you are challenging yourself
